Grants to the SchoolThe lists of PA grants made to the School date back to 1983, when the Parmiter's School Parents' Association was founded. These grants are described below. September 2009 - July 2010Grants given by the PA to the School during the current academic year to date are as follows: £500 towards the Year 11 Year Books £350 to purchase picture frames for Art Department displays £50 for two SLR camera tripods for the Art Department £495 to engage the Happy Puzzle Company to run an activity at the July Induction Day £3,600 for three interactive whiteboards for the English Department £200 for a video camera for the English Department £1,700 for a data projector and secure ceiling installation for the Sixth Form Conference Centre £16,000 for 32 laptops and bespoke trolley for storage/transport September 2008 - July 2009During the 2008-2009 academic year the PA gave the following grants to the School: £800 to support the Cross-Curricular Days £20,000 for a state-of-the-art lighting rig for the new drama and performing arts centre £800 to the PE Department for netball and hockey kits £200 to replace the PA telephone £500 towards the Year 11 Year Books £740 for the Young Enterprise Company Registrations September 2007 - July 2008During the 2007-2008 academic year the PA gave grants to the School totalling £60,000 for the purchase of the following items: £27,500 for the outdoor covered seating area £20,000 towards ICT equipment for the Sixth Form Block extension a fireproof recycling storage unit - £500 forty recycling bins - £200 the cost of workshops for Enterprise Education Day - £600 cricket nets (£1,950), bowling machine refinements (£520), rugby jerseys (£500), and hockey shirts (£500) for the PE Department paintbrushes
& easels (£600), window blinds (£760), chests for portfolio work (£800),

Income (less expenditure) : £17,494 September 2004 UpdateGrants to the School totalled over £14,000, and have paid for stage lighting for the Hall, the installation of projectors for the Science Department, a hearing loop for the Hall and Learning Resource Centre, the lease of projectors and PCs for the coming year, a TV, video recorder, and DVD player for the Geography Department, a TV stand for the Modern Foreign Languages Department, a contribution towards the Garden Committee Project and an automated weather station for the Geography Department. Grants to the School ~ 2002-2003In the last year the P.A. has raised in excess of £24,000. Grants to the School in the last year of over £40,000 enabled the purchase of the following : TV, Video and Stand for the French and Spanish Departments, Trampoline Equipment,Contribution towards a Trophy Cabinet, Audio-Visual Equipment, Safety Rail for the Hall,Music Stand Lights for the Music Department, Computers and Projectors for the Science Department, Five TVs and Videos for the English and Geography Departments and the Sixth Form, Overhead Projector for the German Department, Instruments for the Music Department, Contribution towards the Garden Committee Project, Money raised over the last two years has also enabled the P.A. to give the School £25,000 towards the new Arts studio and Maths classrooms. Grants to the School ~ 2001-2002Last year the Parents' Association donated funds towards the following items: Poster trays for the RS Department,
RS Department theatre presentation New TV and video equipment for the History Department,
Digital Camera for the School Web site team, Marquees for the Sports Centre, Lift for use by caretaking staff.
In addition to the above - £25,000 was pledged to the new Arts Appeal.
