This major fundraising event raised a staggering £39,000 from sponsorship and donations, and with an initial target of £25,000, exceeded all expectations. Of the money raised, £27,500 was earmarked for the provision of an outdoor covered seating area for the students and a further £7,900 was donated to the Teenage Cancer Trust.
On the Saturday evening the teams met in Betws-y-Coed to celebrate their success, enjoy some well-earned refreshment, swap stories, and compare blisters. Whilst the weekend was physically challenging for all participants, it was a truly exhilarating and worthwhile experience. The Parmiter’s Three Peaks Challenge could not have taken place without the help and support of many people, not least of all the 100+ participants who worked so hard to raise money for the School and the Teenage Cancer Trust. The PA would like to express its thanks to everyone who helped organise the event, everyone who took part in it, and of course everyone who sponsored a team or donated money to the event.
